Do we need to meet every security framework at once?

No. Which framework applies depends on your industry, your contracts, and who is asking. NIST is a general framework insurers and customers increasingly ask about, whatever your industry. Card-payment and health-data rules are separate, and if that's where your question sits, we'll say so plainly on the call. The first step is sorting out which one actually applies.

What if none of these frameworks apply to my business?

Plenty of businesses land there. If no named framework fits what you do, a baseline still matters, and our compliance work is built on the CIS Controls, a widely used set of basic safeguards. It gives you a defensible answer when an insurer or customer asks what you have in place, even without a named framework behind it.

Is Cyber Shift Technologies NIST certified?

No, because there's nothing to certify. NIST's Cybersecurity Framework is voluntary and has no certificate at all, so be careful with any provider that claims one. What Cyber Shift Technologies does is help you put the right safeguards in place and document the evidence, and we never claim a status that doesn't exist.

A client just sent us a security questionnaire. Can you help us answer it?

Yes. We help you answer it honestly, based on the safeguards you actually have, and point out the questions where the true answer today is 'not yet.' That's better than guessing, because a wrong yes can come back to bite you. Where there's a gap, you get a plain list of what closing it would take.

Is compliance work an add-on to your cybersecurity service, or can we get it separately?

That depends on what's asking the question and what you already have in place. A single security questionnaire is a smaller piece of work than an ongoing program. Bring the questionnaire, renewal form or contract clause to a 30-minute call and we'll tell you plainly what it would take.
