Managed devices
Managed IT for schools keeps the network, the student information system and the device fleet ready for a normal day and a testing window. Cyber Shift Technologies, based in North Canton, plans Wi-Fi capacity around the school calendar, manages staff and student accounts in Google Workspace, and puts safeguards around student records.
Where School IT Breaks Down
Generic IT doesn't understand a school day.
A testing window, a bus schedule and a board meeting all shape when IT work can happen.
State Testing Can't Be the Day IT Fails
When a testing window opens, every classroom needs the network at once, and a slow or dropped connection can interrupt a session.
Student Records Are a Ransomware Target
Schools hold birthdates, addresses, health notes, and grades, and attackers know it. A breach puts families at risk and can raise FERPA questions for your school.
Hundreds of Devices to Image and Manage
A 1:1 program means hundreds of Chromebooks or tablets to set up, filter, update, and repair, including take-home devices.
The Systems That Run Attendance and Grades
Your student information system, learning platform, and parent portal carry attendance, grades, and every message home. When one stalls, the office feels it fast.
IT Spending Your Board Can Plan Around
School budgets are set a year out and every line gets board scrutiny. A surprise repair bill is hard to explain and harder to fund.
Content Filtering and Safe Access, Every Building
CIPA ties E-rate funding to filtering what students can reach online, and staff, guests, and personal devices all need their own safe path onto the network.
IT Built for a School Day
What we cover for a school.
Networking, phones, email security, and the student information systems your school runs on.
Co-Managed IT Services
If a teacher or part-time tech handles IT on top of a real job, we take the weight and they stay the on-the-ground contact.
IT Consulting & Projects
Projects planned and budgeted around your board approval calendar and the school year.
Business Networking and Wi-Fi
Wi-Fi coverage and network equipment sized for a building full of students and staff online at the same time, testing day included.
IT Management for Google Workspace
Google Workspace for Education set up, secured, and managed for the classroom tools teachers and students already use.
Email Security & Phishing Protection
Layered email filtering aimed at the phishing emails that target school front offices and payroll, plus security awareness training with monthly phishing simulations.
Phone Systems & VoIP
Phone and VoIP service that keeps the front office reachable during drop-off, dismissal, and everything in between.
How We Work With Schools
We plan around the school calendar, not around ours.
Local response, device-fleet fluency, and one team behind your network, phones, and security.
We Plan Around How Schools Run
Testing windows, 1:1 device fleets, student information systems and a building full of people online at once are built into the plan from day one.
Onsite Visits Planned Around the Bell Schedule
Most issues get fixed remotely. When a classroom or the front office needs hands on site, we schedule the visit around instruction time, testing days and your agreement.
Security Built Around Student Data and Safety
Access controls, device encryption and email hardening, aimed at protecting student records and supporting the privacy requirements schools answer to.
IT, Phones, and Web Under One Roof
One local team behind your network, phones and website, so the front office calls one number when any of them acts up. 235+ businesses served since 2016.

Before You Call
Straight answers before you book a call.
Including testing-day planning, student records and the privacy and content-filtering questions schools ask.
How do you keep our network up during state testing?
Start with a review of network capacity, wireless coverage, devices and the testing platform requirements. Plan maintenance outside the testing window and agree escalation contacts with school staff and the platform provider. Monitoring and preparation can help identify problems, but they cannot guarantee an uninterrupted testing session.
Do you support our student information system and 1:1 devices?
We support what those systems run on: the network, devices, accounts and security around them. Device management, content filtering and support for the applications themselves depend on the tools you use and the scope agreed with your school and software providers. Share your platforms, device inventory and current support agreements so responsibilities are clear.
Can you help us protect student data and meet FERPA and CIPA?
We can help review technical safeguards around student information, account access and school connectivity. Your administrators and legal advisers should identify the requirements that apply to your school, then agree the relevant IT work and provider responsibilities with us. Specific content-filtering or application controls depend on the systems in use; we do not certify legal compliance.
